Robot Simulation Engineer (f/m/x)

Your tasks
  • You develop and maintain simulation platforms and testing infrastructure to support our robotics initiatives.
  • You support and manage automated pipelines to ensure efficient testing of merge requests and the overall stability of our systems.
  • You build and deploy containerized robot environments, enabling colleagues to address real-world challenges and develop innovative software features.
Requirements
  • You hold a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Robotics, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • You have a minimum of 3 years of experience with strong programming skills in Python (evidenced by one or more large projects), C++, and, ideally, ROS. 
  • You are familiar with at least one simulator or game engine, such as Gazebo, Unity, Unreal, or Isaac Sim, for 3D physics simulations with realistic rendering.
  • You are experienced with container engines like Docker or Podman.
  • You are a strong communicator and collaborate well across teams 
  • You are fluent in English. German knowledge is a plus
  • We’ll be extra excited if you have:
    • Experience working with URDF models and real robots.
    • Proficiency in Linux, build systems, and continuous integration (CI) pipelines.
    • Hands-on experience deploying to cloud environments.
    • A history of contributing to open-source projects.

Deine Aufgaben
  • Du entwickelst und pflegst Simulationsplattformen und Testinfrastrukturen, um unsere Robotik-Initiativen zu unterstützen.
  • Du unterstützt und verwaltest automatisierte Pipelines, um effiziente Tests von Merge-Requests und die allgemeine Stabilität unserer Systeme sicherzustellen.
  • Du erstellst und implementierst containerisierte Roboterumgebungen, damit deine Kolleginnen und Kollegen reale Herausforderungen meistern und innovative Softwarefunktionen entwickeln können.
Dein Profil
  • Du hast einen Bachelor-, Master- oder Doktortitel in Robotik, Informatik oder einem verwandten Bereich.
  • Du hast mindestens 3 Jahre Erfahrung mit starken Programmierkenntnissen in Python (nachgewiesen durch ein oder mehrere große Projekte), C++ und idealerweise ROS.
  • Du bist mit mindestens einem Simulator oder einer Game Engine wie Gazebo, Unity, Unreal oder Isaac Sim für 3D-Physiksimulationen mit realistischer Darstellung vertraut.
  • Du hast Erfahrung mit Container-Engines wie Docker oder Podman.
  • Du überzeugst mit Deiner Kommunikationsfähigkeit und arbeitest gut mit Teams zusammen.
  • Du sprichst fließend Englisch. Deutschkenntnisse sind ein Plus.
